Oil pressure sender location (.3 BAR) between the 4 left cylinder pushrod
View from below, you can see the oil filter on the right The .3 BAR sender is located between the 4-left cylinders pushrod under the head; you have to remove the protective shield (4 screws) to have access to this one. You will need a 24mm deep socket. A standard won’t do. The .3 BAR is the low pressure one (below 2000 rpm). It is also this one that is responsible for the oil light flicker problem on the dashboard (also known as the “Idiot light). This problem can be fix by going from .3 BAR to .25 BAR (Official upgrade from VW) and using an oil viscosity of 20w50. |
