| Christmas as passed,
it was fun. We all went to the Dutch restaurant for a dinner and
the food was excellent. Not much to say lately, we enjoy each
day even if the sun is not always present. It's very humid since
we arrive here and the local tell us it's not usual. The ocean
is colder and create hunidity. My computer is acting up and that
is why i didn't upload lately, the keybord is sticky (Beer on it
last year). I was able to somewhat fix it and i should be able
to write. Hans as left us and sadely we just heard that he had
an accident near Guadalajara, we know that he is ok but the
other driver was injured. The van as some considerable damage
but i don't know much more for now. All i know is that the
police and the insurance where there and it seem that all was
ok! Frank had to go back to Zamora to see his daughter and get
the rest of his stuff, he should be back today. We have no real
plan for the next week or so but after that we may head south???
The next door caretaker, Carlos, is very nice and interesting,
we are now friends and he is showing me a lot of thing, i learn
a lot about Mexico from him.
Now, the question is should we move
or not! If so, where and why! for sure, we won't go around
Mexico this year, no time to do so. So we will see. For now, i
will go with the camera and get some other good shot. |
Noël
est déjà passé. Nous sommes tous allées au restaurant des
Hollandais pour un souper où l'on nous a servi un grand repas
indonésien (18 services). Un délice. Pas grand chose à dire sur
les derniers jours. Nous apprécions les journées, même si le
soleil est moins présent. C'est très humide depuis une semaine.
Carlos (un gars qui vit ici) me dit que c'est anormal pour ce
temps de l'année. L'océan est plus froid cette année et
cela engendre des journées très. Mon ordi s'en ressent et le
clavier fonctionne très mal. C'est pourquoi je n'ai rien écrit
dernièrement. Hans nous a quitté pour retourner aux US, mais
malheureusement il a eu un accident hier près de Guadajara. Il
n'a rien, mais le devant de sa van est très abîmé, le conducteur
de l'autre véhicule a été blessé légèrement. Les ajusteurs
et la polices étaient présents. Il semble que tout c'est bien
déroulé, nous aurons plus de détails un peu plus tard. Frank est
retourné à Zamora pour revoir sa fille et prendre les objets
qu'il a laissés là-bas. Nous n'avons pas vraiment de plans
précis pour les prochains jours, mais plus tard, nous irons
probablement au sud??? Nous nous sommes faits amis avec Carlos,
celui qui s'occupe du terrain à côté du notre. Il est très
intéressant et captivant, il nous apprend beaucoup de chose sur
le pays. Son anglais est très bon. Chaque matin, il arrive avec
sa petite tasse avec un peu de téquilla, et je complète sa tasse
avec un peu de café. Bon, nous n'avons pas tous la même diète le
matin ! :-)
Maintenant, la
question est: on bouge ou on bouge pas! Si oui, ou et
pourquoi!!! Pour sure, nous n'avons pas le temps de faire le
tour du Mexique, trop grand et surtout, trop de chose a faire.

When someone lands you something, make
sure you can fixe it ! Cable clutch, trottle body, vaccum leak,
loose chain problems, and so on... Thank's Mike (a gringo who lives
in Mexico, and was pleased that we fixed his little problems on his
vanagon)

Ernst went to rent the place for all of
us. Thank's ! I hope he mades money before he cames in Mexico,
because it's not with the 1$ per day we are giving him he's gonna
make a fortune ;-). |

food. Verry diffferent from the turkey and the mash potatoes. It was
great, but one thing was missing for all of us... our famillies.

Voici nos repas/plat
(fait maison a 90%) principal a La Manzanilla: Salsa fait
maison, Guacamole, crevettes (Beaucoup!), un peu de poulet cuit
localement, chili maison, ris, les fruits et légumes sont
facilement disponibles localement et assez frais. On mange aussi
beaucoup de tortillas avec toutes sortes de choses, incluant du
thon. Il est assez facile de se débrouiller avec pas grand
chose. |

Here
is our average typical dish/food in La Manzanilla:
Home made salsa, guacamole, shrimp (a lot!), some chicken (cook
the mexican way for us), home made chilli, rice, most vegetable
are fresh and available, we also eat some tortillas (pita bread)
with all kind of stuff including tuna. It's pretty easy make
godd stuff with limited suply.. |
