MacOS Keyboard Shortcuts

The mouse makes a computer easy to use by providing a point and click interface that enables you to execute commands by selecting from menu options. If you prefer to type, there are other options for you - ways of making menu selections without using the mouse to highlight the menu!

The Macintosh keyboard has a special key, located on either side of the space bar, which displays an outline of an apple and/or the command symbol (z).

Shortcuts keys are shown to the right of the corresponding menu option. For example, highlighting the File menu will show command key options for file operations such as Open or Close.
